James H. Wright's favorite song was 'Desperado' by the Eagles.

Friday, November 17, 2006 suddenly at the age of 76.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Diane Chevron Wright; devoted father of Lisa Wright Barnes, Kimberly Wright, and Colbert Wright, and their mother, Suzanne Friday; doting grandfather of Elisa Jane Barnes and Patrick James Barnes; mother-in-law, Ethel Chevron; sister-in-law, Debra (James) Link; niece, Jennifer Ruth Link; nephew, James Edward Link; cousins and many devoted friends.

FlagA native Rochesterian and Air Force Veteran, Jim was a great humanitarian, gifted art teacher at Eastridge High School (1961-1986) and talented artist.

James Wright was one of the original artists who started the Corn Hill Arts Festival, Jim owned several galleries including Riverside Studio in Charlotte and Corn Hill.

His love of cats and horse racing is legendary.

Jim's proudest achievements are his children and beloved grandchildren.

Diane, Lisa, Kimberly, and Colbert invite Jim's family and friends to join them in celebrating his life at one last St. Patrick's Day at the Park Avenue Pub, 650 Park Avenue on Sunday, November 26, 2006 from 4-7 PM.

Memorial contributions may be directed to The James H. Wright Scholarship Fund for the Arts at Alendale Columbia School in care of Jim's family.
